This legendary Jazz club, named after Charlie "Bird" Parker, moved here from uptown in '96.  It is a large, beautiful, well-designed place, Andy Kaufman, left, and Frank Clayman-Cook, right so  you can sit down, and the padded white tablecloths and comfortable seating carry out the classy theme.  Owner Andy Kaufman (pictured here pointing at our mutual friend, timbalero Frank Clayman-Cook visiting from LA) has improved the sound system, now truly superb.  Kevin Mahogany was performing, and we could appreciate that the stage is perfectly visible from everywhere in the club.
